TeamViewer - not so helpful

So, i live only 30 miles from my Mum, she is over 70 and quite a technophobe. But she uses email and skype to speak her friends (worldwide).

Last weekend i upgraded her laptop from win7 to win10 - thanks Microsoft for allowing her to do this for free.

Over the last few years i have been doing ad-hoc support (as you do) remotely as soon as she calls the support line (that is my mobile). It's much easier to move her mouse an click on stuff, or look at stuff rather than talk her through it. Plus it gives her a level of confidence that what she did was right as i can see what she did. wins all round.

One of the only issues i had was that teamviewer decided that i was doing commercial support. I'm guessing this is because the checks it must do noticed i had changed the OS. So i filled in the form stating what i had done and who the laptop was for. Unfortunately they didn't believe me and want me to printout and sign a declaration that i'm not ripping them off. Or buy a copy.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Your TeamViewer Team

With everyone over 70 being asked to go into self-isolation due to coronavirus i'm really worried if she has a fault on her laptop now i'm not going to be able to fix it do her.

I feel at this current time, this is not customer-centric and quite unfeeling.

So, do i sign the declaration or find another application (if so, what)?

Let me know in the comments below.
