Teams with Tom- Volume 10

Welcome to Teams with Tom Volume 10! This time around I’m spotlighting some powerful new tech from Poly along with some of my favourite Teams updates for you from the last few weeks so read on to find out all that’s new with Microsoft Teams!

Poly Studio Base Kit G9 Plus

The Poly Studio Base Kit G9 Plus for Microsoft Teams Rooms includes the HP Mini IP PC G9 and Poly TC10 controller, connecting via a simple PoE connection. This solution combines Poly's renowned collaboration features with HP's high-performance computing. It supports multiple controllers for larger spaces and can be paired with compatible Poly cameras and peripherals to suit any meeting space, from focus rooms to boardrooms.

Poly Studio G62

The Poly Studio G62 is a modular video conferencing system designed for large and flexible spaces. It integrates with various peripherals like cameras, microphones, and controllers, making it perfect for boardrooms, classrooms, and flexible spaces.

The system offers a premium experience, expandable with multiple cameras and microphones to ensure all participants are visible. Made with sustainability in mind, it consists of 80% post-consumer recycled plastics and 20% recycled metals. It's easy to set up with flexible mounting options and is certified for 微软 Teams.

Customisable Chat and Collaboration

You now have the ability to direct Microsoft Copilot to modify your draft message however you would like it! To give it a go, compose a message in chat or channels, then open Copilot under the message box in Teams. Select the option to customise the message using a specific prompt and type your own instructions, such as “add a call to action,” “make it persuasive,” or “turn my message into a list with inclusive language.” Copilot will then adjust the message to fit your specifications.

‘Meet Now’ in your Teams group chat

If you need to discuss and brainstorm with your team, initiate a quick and casual huddle using the "meet now" feature in a group chat. This option allows for impromptu real-time calls with your team, offering an alternative to scheduled meetings. You can start a call spontaneously, just like stopping by a colleague’s desk. The conversation remains within your ongoing group chat thread, keeping all information in context and easily accessible. With "meet now," you can quickly see if colleagues are discussing an issue in real-time and join the conversation effortlessly.

Copilot for Sales plugin

You can now enhance your sales team's efficiency in Teams meetings by enabling a plugin that connects to Copilot for Sales. This plugin allows Copilot to process conversations in real time and provide sellers with insights, such as an overview of account opportunities, based on your organisation's Copilot for Sales data.

Additionally, Copilot can suggest dynamic prompts for querying account information when keywords and names are mentioned during discussions. Enabling the plugin is simple, requiring just a few clicks, and sellers can activate it from the Copilot plugin menu. By intelligently surfacing data and insights from your organisation's Copilot for Sales knowledge base during customer meetings, Copilot can significantly improve your sellers' efficiency and meeting outcomes.
