The Teams

Our May Round Up:

At the beginning of the month, we proudly showed our support for Mental Health Awareness Week. This year, the theme was movement, so we took the opportunity to ask some of our team members how staying active has benefited their mental well-being. Their insights were both inspiring and informative. To read their personal stories, check out our Mental Health article on LinkedIn now.

In continuation of our efforts to promote mental health and well-being, our very own Jessica Dawe participated in the Battersea Muddy Dog Run 2024. Alongside her dog Lexie, Jess successfully raised funds for this amazing charity, showcasing the positive impact of physical activity and community involvement.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the launch of tickets and invitations for our inaugural AI Forum, which will be held at the TeamJobs office. This exciting event will feature two distinguished guest speakers. Jake Moore and Nick Carlile . Jake will delve into "The Good and The Bad about AI," offering a balanced perspective on artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Nick will explore "The Awesome Stuff AI Can Do and How It Can Help Your Business," highlighting the transformative potential of AI in various industries.

We have a limited number of spaces left for this event, and we would love for you to join us. If you're interested, please follow the link below to register!

Networking Events:

This month, several team members have attended various networking events, allowing them to connect with professionals across different industries and gain valuable insights.

Our Operations Director, Natasha Hall , and our Commercial Perms Team Leader, Lucy Sinclair quite literally embarked on a unique networking adventure hosted by Dorset Chamber. They set sail from Poole Quay on a boat cruise sponsored by ElectriX. This scenic voyage provided stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere, facilitating meaningful conversations and networking opportunities with other local business leaders and professionals. Natasha and Lucy returned from the event with new connections and fresh ideas to bring back to our team.

Meanwhile, a couple of our Commercial Consultants Emily Price and Phoebe Jones made their way to the historic Marley House to attend the Dorset Business Growth Breakfast. This event featured a lineup of incredible speakers who delved into crucial topics such as; cyber security, public relations, and social media strategies. The consultants were able to absorb a wealth of knowledge from experts in these fields, gaining insights that will undoubtedly enhance our business practices and client services.

These events are part of our ongoing commitment to professional development and community engagement. By participating in such activities, we aim to stay ahead of industry trends, foster strong business relationships, and continuously improve our services.

Life Hack Of The Month:

Perfect Iced Coffee!

Fill your ice cube tray with cold leftover coffee and freeze until set. Pour cold milk into a glass, add frozen coffee ice cubes and stir. Add a teaspoon of sugar syrup if you want it sweet.

Wellbeing

In honour of Mental Health Awareness and this year's theme of movement, we wanted to give you some minor tips and tricks to keep you moving in your busy lifestyle.

  • Take the stairs rather than the lift
  • Go for a walk at lunchtime
  • Walk into work – maybe you could go with a colleague
  • Get off the bus a stop earlier than usual and walk the final part of your journey to work.
  • Find a fun local charity event (Just like Jess' muddy dog run!)

Recipe Of The Month:

Chipotle Chicken Tinga

Use this chipotle chicken tinga recipe served with cous cous, spinach and pickled red cabbage as the perfect meal prep combo for your upcoming week!

Prep Time 15 mins | Cook Time 40 mins

What do you need?

Method:

Heat the oil in a large non-stick flameproof casserole dish or saucepan. Fry the onions with a pinch of salt for 10 mins, or until softened. Add the garlic and fry for 1 min more. Tip in the chipotle paste, tomatoes and sugar with half a can of water. Sit the chicken breasts in the sauce. Bring to a low simmer and cook, covered, for 20-25 mins, stirring often, until the liquid has reduced slightly and the chicken is cooked through.

Using two forks, shred the chicken and stir it back through the sauce. Season to taste. If the sauce is too thin, return to the heat and simmer for 5 mins until the sauce has reduced more.
