Teaming up: Better Decision

Very few understand with clarity that success is not about following someone or some authority but following better decisions. Interestingly the whole society practices with this "Follow" button to follow persons. And many forget that mortals are not blindly followable but their better decisions should be followed.

The Glue: Human instinct is to commit to an agreement

Deeds, deals, contracts, marriage, partnerships, or any agreement or promise is basically a decision or a set of related decisions we agree upon. And once we express our consent to that in any form, we abide by that or we break out of that in a proper way. Interestingly I found this norm even in children very strong. So if we want to team up, better we team up based on agreements on better decisions where everyone feels accountable to fulfill that and gets satisfaction as they are accomplishing the better thing.

Any touch of personal agenda, preferences, likings, power, and bias is a killer of this glue as it eliminates the ingredient "Better" in which the value of right, peace, and sustainability resides.

The Direction: True leaders never ask to follow them but the better decision. And on that, they lead.

The direction is toward the right. Now if someone asks me, What is right? My answer is: Not betraying the better decision for personal reasons (ego, jealousy, greed, love, fear.) in a team.

For that, a true leader creates an environment where healthy debate happens and choices can be diagnosed keeping aside the faces behind those.

Now one may ask, how to know what is a better decision. A better decision is always bright and visible with clarity, one will recognize it. Though the truth is most of us just ignore or suppress that if that does not align with our personal interests. And that's the betrayal, betrayal with truth in that given moment given context. And here the leaders never compromise and keep filtering these personal toxicities.

And the rest follows as every step the better decision is happening.


The Balance: Avoid those who ask for loyalty for them but not for the better decision

Those who never heed a better decision but pretend to be a follower of better decisions are the deniers to whom everything is personal. And the team is just a vehicle to gain. They will not understand as they have already understood. But denied their own understanding. And turned blind to that. Maybe because the idea behind the decision was presented by someone junior or competitive to him. And they will not stop there but spread this blindness to others to attack that individual. And by doing this, those deniers are not harming others but themselves by creating enmity with "Better". So the balance is rewarding for upholding and practicing the better decision and punishment for interrupting that.

As you can't wake someone who is pretending to be asleep.

And make the better decision prevail and shine so bright that they wish to create some affinity with the word " Better" in their life.
