#TeamFTL Participates in 38th Annual International Coastal Cleanup

Code Compliance Officer?Marco Aguilera and?Senior Officer Dorian Koloian, who are assigned to Code Compliance's Marine Enforcement Team, participated in the? 38th?annual International Coastal Cleanup.

While 2023 numbers aren't available yet, in 2022, the Coastal Cleanup brought out over 2,000 volunteers countywide who collected over 42,000 pieces of trash totaling nearly 6,000 pounds.

Broward County participates in the annual International Coastal Cleanup, sponsored by the?Ocean Conservancy.?The Cleanup takes place in more than 122?countries?with over one?million volunteers participating worldwide,?typically on the 3rd Saturday of September. More photos here.
