#TEAMFCG Bags Four Wins at Cyprus Gran Fondo Past Weekend!

It is spring in Cyprus and this is when Cyprus is at its best. A cool breeze, a bright-but-not-hot sun, green grass, wild flowers, a light drizzle – it is paradise out there. And it was time for the Scoda Cyprus Gran Fondo with Fenton and members of #TEAMFCG representing on the 31st of March to the 2nd of April ‘23!

A massive congratulations to all team members taking part in the 3-day Cyprus Gran Fondo event, past week end. With a big shout out to Ross Fawcett who had 2 overall Stage wins on days two and three and for coming in as 3rd in General Classification for the whole event. An amazing ride by Ross taking it down to sprint finishes for both wins.

Well done also to #MikeDandy who came first in Cat on day one with solid performances from both Fenton and Rebecca Johnson during the 3 days.

#TEAMFCG has once again been put on the map and Cyprus' Podium and look forward to other wins in coming races. A big congratulations to the team

The Cyprus Gran Fondo is a 3-day Road "Cycling for All" event, which, since 2017, is featured among the biggest cycling events of the UCI as part of the Gran Fondo World Series for cyclists ranging from pros to beginners. It provides the perfect opportunity for recreational riders to qualify for the World Gran Fondo Championships held every year.

All participants of Cyprus Gran Fondo will have the opportunity to earn their qualification in the Gran Fondo World Championship.

Starting every day next to the Mediterranean coast, with cyclists climbing some of the nicest mountains of the island and passing through traditional and rustic villages, enjoying the Cyprus weather and nature, before returning to some of the best hotels in Paphos to enjoy off-the-bike time.

Congratulations to Mike Hadjioannou and Activate Cyprus for another well organised and very successful event.
