Meet Victor Frias, Foreman, Oregon

Victor Frias, an esteemed member of the Snyder team for 23 years, shares insights into his work routine. His day starts with a team discussion after a morning stretch and flex session, setting the tone for various projects he has undertaken.

Victor highlights the PDX project as his favorite due to its complexity, and for?providing opportunities to collaborate with different trades and foremen.

Outside of work, Victor values quality time with his family, indulging in fishing and restoring old cars. One of his significant accomplishments at Snyder was obtaining his CDL. According to him, working for Snyder means being part of a close-knit family.


Can you share briefly what a typical workday looks like for you?

I am always looking forward to connecting with my team every morning. We start our morning with stretch and flex and then start discussing the plan for the day.

How long have you worked at Snyder?

I have worked at Snyder for 23 years.

What is one thing folk at Snyder might find surprising to learn about you?

I used to be a cobbler, also known as a shoemaker.

What is your favorite project you’ve worked on? Why?

My favorite is the job I am still currently working on – the PDX project. This is my favorite project so far because of the complexity of the roof and the various trades, and foremen that I get to work with and build relationships with.

What do you enjoy doing on your days off?

?On my days off I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, or working on old cars.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments at the company?

One of my proudest accomplishments is getting my CDL.

What do you think sets Snyder apart from other commercial roofing companies in the Pacific Northwest?

I think what sets Snyder apart from other commercial roofing companies is that Snyder always keeps up with everyone’s training and with its safety equipment.

What advice would you give to someone new to Snyder?

My advice to someone new at Snyder would be to enjoy the Snyder family. It is a great company to be a part of and to work for.
