Team Responsibility
Team Responsibility
Everyone has to take responsibility.
1) Technical Responsibility - or in other words making sure you do whatever it takes to know your job and contribute to the team with your technical aptitude making sure that you performance is flawless.
2) Social Responsibility - to effectively engage, communicate and interact with guests and associates
There are 5 areas of Social Responsibility in need of ongoing consideration.
- Commitment to the overall purpose of the Team
- Be willing to share your thoughts, insights, challenges and wins. Be open, vulnerable and communicate often. The rest of your team is focused on their technical responsibility and may not have time to notice the lessons you can contribute
- Being Proactive Vs. Re-active! When you see something Say something!
- Work through your problems with the team. Do not always seek to protect "your Turf" alone but rather be open to resolve the issue so everyone on the team can move forward
- Help your team members grow
