Historically, charitable events were seen as team building WITHOUT the residents! Let's plan to engage the residents in our Corporate Social Responsibility projects this year. Begin by clearly setting our intention and understanding the social impact of our Community Service Day.
1.?Search (Google) CSR Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility awards, programs, organizations, blogs, articles, and more will be seen. This is a well-established practice for many organizations. Before moving forward, discuss the importance of CSR and your team's commitment to participating in corporate social responsibility.
The fundamental change in 2024 is to join with our residents and let their lives in our community tell our story socially!
People feel powerless in a world so full of negative news. Is it personally satisfying for our residents to post an act of positive social change? People want to be a part of positive change. They need to be shown how. In 2024, give new meaning to the term "Social Activities".
2. Search (Google) for apartment, multifamily CSR Corporate Social Responsibility examples
Take time now to search for online stories of our industry "giving back." Be creative in your search. Use the words Apartment, Multifamily, and Property Management combined with CSR, gives back, charitable acts, and socially responsible. Our industry has exceptional programs. How easily did you find them? Do apartment renters see local stories about our apartment communities serving local social causes? Do you believe they should? Are you willing to do what it takes to MAKE THAT HAPPEN?

3 Discuss CSR as Value Positing in 2024
People are looking for many reasons to rent. Finding a community with purpose is essential to both Gen Z and Millennials. Authentic storytelling that aligns with societal values brings meaningful ROI to our Community Service Day plan. This campaign centers on fostering genuine connections with residents by championing social causes and sharing our social experience. The goal is to "show" more than just an apartment in the rental search. We want to feature our property on social media and review site images as a community of extraordinary human beings positively impacting our society. Be sure your team understands the "heart" of this project and the potential implications for attracting quality future residents.
4. Discuss how you will engage residents.
·????? Begin with a list of residents you feel are a good fit with the project and email them to join a Community Service Day Resident Advisory Board.
·????? What is the best way to communicate? Email, then get permission to Text alerts?

Dear ___________,
Today, we have decided to take a stand and become a part of the worthwhile causes in our local community. Together, we can make this a better place to live. 2024, we are introducing (Company NAME) Community Service Day – Communities Serving the Community.
We would like to personally invite you to join our (Property NAME) Community Service Day Resident Advisory Board.? You will be asked each month to offer advice to help us choose a local volunteer opportunity on www.Volunteermatch.org . (Company Name) We will fund the volunteer project and invite your neighbors to join us for a day of community service. Volunteering reduces stress, improves mental health, and provides a sense of purpose.
Our first (Property NAME) Community Service Day is March 17th – let’s make someone feel lucky!

4. Social Media Posts & Hashtags:
Set goals and create a content strategy to determine the consistencies of your social content plan. Focus on having your residents tell the story, posting on their social platforms, and tagging you. People trust people. User-generated content resonated with people as authentic and less commercial. It's the modern form of "word of mouth" advertising.
Make creative suggestions to your residents, like building a GIF. Be sure to capture video moments, and consider using collages to give multiple images in one post. Be sure each post has consistent tags so you can reference this campaign to future residents and help them find the post easily.
Choosing hashtags determines where your story will be found. We want to tag our most popular city hashtag connected to positive social change. Go to Instagram and search hashtags to find the ones with the MOST clicks. This is an act of goodwill and a character marketing plan! Let’s find the best hashtag to be seen in! Be consistent with each post, and resident posts should include hashtags.
