To: The team that changed the game.

Coastbusters: To start -- Just saying 'thank you' will never be enough for the magic you delivered this year. You gave 150% to lead the way and elevate our winning strategy. I hope to share below how being in your orbit this past year changed the game for our business, what is possible for our customers and the impact each one of you had on me as a leader.

As we embark on the final week of FY24, I wanted to pause and share the utmost gratitude for my team - Team Coastbusters. Through 3 generations of "TC" to date over a 4+ year span, l've had the privilege to lead some of the best. Kind hearted human beings with a determination to move mountains, who willingly opened their doors allowing me to be a part of their incredible wins, moments of growth and be a supporter of their dreams personally and professionally. With the new formation of our team this year, our task as a unit was anchored around creating a unified vision across the following:

?? 3 segments [SMB, MM, ENT], 12 sales teams, 80+ sales partners, 16 sales leaders, 500+ CS supported accounts, 3 NAMER offices, 1 remote location, and 4 individual contributor levels.

The result?

?? First team to cross annual targets across NAMER by volume, by % and the entire team annually.

You did that, TC.


?? Top 12 lessons You Taught Me This Year:

  • Creating a safe and inclusive culture where we all thrive will always be our number one priority to grow success.
  • Energy is gained through transparency.
  • Trust is earned through actions.
  • Having fun as a team is imperative to see results at the highest level.
  • Sharing my struggles with you for your support vs. hiding them made me human.
  • Sharing your personal passions outside of the laptop created pride in who you are and who you wanted to show up as every day.
  • When we feel well [mentally, physically, emotionally] our customers will win.
  • It's ok to say no. It's ok to push back.
  • Having a bad day, week or month does not take away the stellar input/output throughout our 365 days a year. With grace, we come back even stronger when supported through it.
  • Cherish time just being present.
  • Take the vacation. Your team is capable of every task while you are away.
  • Changing the game doesn't mean reinventing the wheel.


Cheers to you and the year we had. When we kicked off our year last July, I wrote a post on LinkedIn for this team stating: "Culture does not change because we desire to change it. Culture changes when the organization is transformed." This was the vision and each of you showed that anything was possible. That Dreaming Big means so much more than hitting your target individually. It about developing an all-in, all-team mindset that spreads to the community around you. Its contagious.

I hope that each of you knows hope deeply I care for your well being and happiness in this little thing called life. Change is inevitable, but if we are willing to get just the slightest bit more uncomfortable each year to grow in role, I can promise each of you will continue to do incredible things.
