Team building from Styria for the whole world

A Graz-based student project focuses on innovative team building activities and attracts companies even in Silicon Valley. Now teamazing has been awarded Company by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency SFG.

It all started with a group of friends who were known for their scavenger hunts. They organized treasure hunts across Graz just for fun. The aunt of co-founder Paul Stanzenberger recognized that this was a promising business idea. And so he and his colleagues founded teamazing in 2014 - based on a student project.

"The basic idea was to develop and build new team building challenges that didn't yet exist on the market," explains Managing Director Stanzenberger. Today, ten years of team building experience later, teamazing offers a wide range of online and face-to-face events and organizes around 500 team building events a year. Events that create a good atmosphere but also "high-performance teams", says Stanzenberger.

Online events as a passion

The unique thing about teamazing: in addition to events and workshops on site, they also offer software solutions to enhance team spirit. To be precise, a ten-person team is developing browser games for employees. Behind these games is an artificial intelligence that can evaluate the performance of the teams. This leads to the motivation to achieve more and more points together.

It is these online events that ensure teamazing's global presence - they are even booked by Facebook and other companies in Silicon Valley. Companies in Austria and southern Germany can be locally addressed thanks to offices in Graz, Vienna and Munich. Team building activities always make sense "if you would rather stay at home in the morning than go to work," says Stanzenberger. Frequent reasons why they are requested are management changes, mergers or interpersonal crises in teams.

Stanzenberger thinks back to a team building event for 奥地利AVL李斯特公司 . Over 100 people were sent on a scavenger hunt through Graz, past sightseeing locations such as Murinsel and Lendplatz. Afterwards, with a little reflection, many new experiences from the hours spent together could be transferred to everyday working life. "So that you can go back to work with a lot of heart and passion," says Stanzenberger.
