Teaching Touchstones

Teaching is a noble profession that requires dedication, passion, and continuous growth. As educators, we play a vital role in molding the next generation, instilling knowledge, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing the social and emotional well-being of our students. We recognize the tremendous impact we have on their lives, and the weight on our shoulders.

In this newsletter, we will delve into a wide range of topics relevant to our teaching practice and personal development. From innovative teaching strategies and classroom management tips to self-care techniques and mental health support. The goal is to equip ourselves with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in our role as educators.

We understand that we come from diverse backgrounds, teaching contexts, and cultures. Therefore, we aim to provide inclusive, relevant, and adaptable content that can be tailored to your unique circumstances.

Through this newsletter, let us strive to foster a sense of community and connection among ourselves by actively engaging in discussions, sharing our experiences, and exchanging ideas with our fellow teachers. Together, we can create a supportive network that enables us to learn from one another, celebrate our successes, and navigate the obstacles we may encounter.

Well, with my small experience of teaching learners from different diversities, I have realized that my role and our role as teachers cannot be compromised. The impact is huge and this is evident when seeing these learners thriving in life at different capacities. As we even navigate through thick and thin experiences, we should develop thick skins in order to absorb various challenges in this very profession. Much as well call it nobble profession, there is a lot we go through that demands resilience and patience! I love teaching, it makes me young and young each time and enjoys interacting with my kids as a parent/care taker and as teacher.
