This day was a 7:45am - 7:00pm
PTA.
The more I get ready to leave the education system the more I am intrigued by it.
Do you know some public schools can only be run on obedience. So, anything other than obedience is threatening. In creole we does say she RUDE.
When in fact she probably just added her voice to the accusation.
If you are not obedient as a student or teacher, If you question, if you push back, if you challenge, if you innovate you are bad,
Like seriously, in some schools if you change a way a thing is done and make it different more effective you are bad! Don’t do it. It is
disruptive and she will be relegated to “ those people” who does get chat off and written about badly.
But progress needs disruptions! Japan is a HUGE country but not a global power because as a society they are mostly obedient. And because they are obedient. The single idea is the only idea Their obedient culture makes them last in innovation in science and math.
Innovation requires disruption. Education reform requires disobedience, non compliance for change.
It does! Disruption is the surest way to change. It comes at a cost but it comes
Yesterday was another 7:45am - $7:00pm day. PTA meeting is a hard sacrifice for both teachers and sometimes parents.
I did it in blue socks yesterday.
