Teaching in America has lost its power for most of our children! The "BRILLIANT"minds of our children in todays classroom have been neglected!

I enjoy working with children of all ages, individuals, and families to help them acquire skills they need, to improve their life struggles and to help them move forward to reach their goals.
There was a time when our children had great teacher! But now we have people that go to college finish don't know what they want to do so they take the test to be a teacher without any skills or true desire to do so!! So our children are robbed of their education and placed in a classroom where they will be neglected, abused, not served as far as getting the best education and feeling stuck!
America is complaining about losing students and having to close schools but they are not addressing the real problem! Our children deserve a great education that stimulates their minds, captivates their interests, encourages them to think inside and outside of the box!
America should want our students to love going to school, to get excited about each day of learning and too thrive everyday that they step into a classroom. There should be hands on activities, experiments and creative exploration on every subject daily or at lease twice a week. This kind of learning will draw them into the subjects with a great deal of enthusiasm and desire to learn more and want to advance their knowledge.
We must create this kind of classroom so our children we build on the brilliance that they were born with. I have worked with special Ed students, gifted students,In juvenile hall, from infants to college and we had a great time everyday! My job was to challenge them and make them want more everyday they came into our room!
I created a game called stand up set down! The rules were that I would tell them exactly what to do but they had to listen and do it fast without getting caught not following the directions. Also I was the only one that could put them out or talk. The older students had very hard time following the direction because they wanted to tell on the other students. Which put them out early. I told them that my younger students did a much better job of listening because they were not interested in getting others out but winning. I love this game because it made them listen and follow direction. Which they had a very hard time doing so. We would play it at least once or twice before time to go home.

I loved doing things that made them stop talking, listen or think!
