This Teacher’s day, nurture the teacher within you
It is Teacher’s Day today and like every year we all are Thanking our Teacher’s. From the musical good morning chants to all the memories we made in school, it was an absolute dream. But don’t you think most frequently we externalize everything that happens with us.
How often do we pause to reflect on learning and to listen to the teacher within us? Rumi, probably one of the greatest poets of all time said “Listen to the silence, it has much to say.”
It is not very often that we recognize this teacher within us, forget about celebrating him.
In fact, with a little self-consciousness and reflection on a day to day basis, every person can be a great Teacher for ‘the self’.
In today’s fast paced life with mobile and other gadgets keeping us busy; how much time do we really spend on self-reflection. It reminds me of times when some of my friends shared how diary writing helped them revisit situations that became a learning experience.
Like your teacher would say, the moral of the story is self-reflection, assimilation and adoption are a good way to keep up with ourselves. Today, let us nurture the teacher within us and keep the light alive to illuminate and make this world a better place.
