- Washington, USA: Emotional Biden Says Teachers Helped Him Overcome Stutter:?President Joe Biden congratulated the 2022 national teacher of the year by offering a deeply personal story saluting those teachers who helped him overcome a serious childhood stutter. The president and first lady Jill Biden, who continues to teach English at a community college in suburban Washington, cheered Ohio history teacher Kurt Russell, the 2022 national teacher of the year, and finalists for the award who gathered from each state.
- Lucknow, India: Proposal worth ?11,411 cr for elementary and teacher edu approved: A proposal worth ?11,411 crore for elementary education and teacher education for the year 2022-23 was granted approval in the meeting of executive committee of ‘Education For All’ held at Lok Bhawan under the chairmanship of UP chief secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra. Approved budget to be used for the construction of new primary and upper primary schools. Moreover, smart classes will also be started in upper primary schools and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas.
- Dubai, UAE: New school group to be formed:?A new schools group is being set up in Dubai to boost the quality of education offered to Emiratis and residents, and help prepare pupils for university abroad. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has issued a law to set up the Rashid and Latifa Schools Establishment, to enhance the quality of education provided to citizens and residents attending schools that are part of the establishment, Dubai Media Office said. The new establishment will be responsible for the Rashid School for Boys and the Latifa School for Girls, which are currently overseen by the KHDA, Dubai.
