Last week, we talked about starting the year strong with clarity. Remember, clarity isn’t just about seeing the big picture—it’s about knowing which step to take next. For me, clarity means this: helping others teach what they know so others can grow. It’s not just a mission; it’s my passion and purpose. I believe with all my heart that everyone has valuable knowledge and experiences to share, and those gifts can make a transformative difference in someone else’s life.
As you’re reading this, you might be asking yourself, “What is it that I know that can help others grow?” Perhaps it’s a skill you’ve honed over the years, a challenge you’ve overcome, or wisdom gained through your unique journey. You don’t have to have all the answers—what matters is your willingness to share. The lessons you’ve learned could provide the breakthrough someone else desperately needs, sparking growth, healing, or hope in their life. Let’s explore together how your story, your expertise, and your light can empower others.
?Life is a series of lessons. We all face challenges, navigate trials, and ultimately emerge stronger and wiser. What we learn along the way isn’t just for us—it’s meant to be shared. When we teach what we know, we empower others to overcome their challenges and grow into their fullest potential. As the saying goes, “we are blessed to be a blessing.”
?Sharing our knowledge and experiences is part of our divine calling. Each of us has been uniquely gifted, and it’s through using these gifts that we fulfill our purpose. Whether it’s navigating a career shift, managing relationships, or mastering a skill, what you’ve learned could be the very thing someone else needs to hear.
?This year, I’m introducing two special days to encourage all of us to embrace this calling:

The Ripple Effect of Teaching
When you teach what you know, the impact goes far beyond the individual you’re helping. Imagine a stone dropped into a pond—the initial splash creates waves that extend outward, touching everything in their path. The same is true of sharing your knowledge.
The ripple effect is a powerful reminder that teaching is never a small act. By sharing what you’ve learned, you’re creating waves of growth, understanding, and change that have the potential to impact countless lives.
Fulfilling Your Divine Calling
Teaching isn’t just a good deed; it’s a sacred responsibility. The Bible reminds us of the power of sharing wisdom and using our gifts to serve others. In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus tells us, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
When you teach what you know, you’re letting your light shine. You’re honoring God by using the gifts He’s given you to bless others. Teaching is an act of love and obedience, as we are called to share knowledge that uplifts and strengthens those around us.
Proverbs 11:25 further emphasizes this, stating, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Teaching refreshes not only the learner but also the teacher. By giving generously of your wisdom and experiences, you create a cycle of blessing and fulfillment that enriches everyone involved.
Ephesians 4:11-12 highlights how each of us is equipped for a unique purpose: “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” Whether you’re a formal teacher or someone sharing life lessons, your role is vital in building up others and contributing to a greater purpose.
When you embrace your divine calling to teach, you’re stepping into alignment with God’s plan for your life. You’re not only helping others grow but also deepening your relationship with Him as you serve.
Don't Be Selfish with Your Knowledge?
Have I ever told you about how I let fear keep me from doing the very thing that could help so many others? Even though I had plenty of experience as an author, I struggled to write my third book. I kept telling myself, “I’ll get to it soon,” but deep down, fear and doubt were holding me back. I worried that maybe my story wasn’t important enough, or that no one would really benefit from what I had to share. I stayed stuck in that cycle for way too long.
?Then, during a conversation with my coach, she hit me with some tough love. In a not-so-kind way, she said, “The longer you wait to write your story, the more selfish you’re being. There are so many women out there who need the help only you can provide!” Me, selfish? That word stung, but as she explained further, I realized she was right.
That's when I remembered the scripture, Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given, much is required.” It hit me like a revelation. I had been given so much—strength, resilience, and the wisdom gained from navigating my own struggles. That wasn’t just for my benefit; it was a gift meant to be shared. I realized that holding back my story wasn’t just about fear—it was about responsibility. I had a duty to pay it forward, to help others who were facing the same challenges I once did. It became clear that my journey could serve as a guide for others, and it was time to stop hesitating and start giving back by telling my story.

?Yes, my story—my journey—wasn’t just for me. It had the potential to inspire, uplift, and offer guidance to other women facing the same struggles I’d overcome. By holding back, I was depriving them of that help. It was a hard truth to swallow, but that conversation became the turning point I needed. I stopped letting fear dictate my actions and finally got to work. And now, I’m committed to helping others do the same.
