Growing up and going back to University (college) at the age of 24, in Psychology with a majority of millennial women, I was amazed to encounter (the new majority), women more ambitious, disciplined, hard working with A+ standards whom I could not compete with. Their drive, study habits will to learn and engagement was well, perfect!
What struck me at the time was, this was not the usual Bell curve, this was fully 40% of the students. These were the ones who would compete for entry into a Master's and Phd. programs for the most part ahead of the young men studying in the department.
But what happens to these women once they hit the professional world and why don't they make it to the top when they are among the brightest and best up and comers? This video helped me understand what might be happening...

Most girls are taught to avoid risk and failure. We're taught to smile pretty, play it safe, get all A's. Boys, on the other hand, are taught to play rough, swing high, crawl to the top of the monkey bars and then just jump off headfirst
