Tea excellence by Ronnefeldt since 195 years
brought to the UAE by SHURA Trading
Ronnefeldt is searching all over the world to find the best teas from the famous gardens in China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka and recently new world tea countries such as New Zealand, Colombia and Tanzania.
Early in the 19th century the founder Johann Tobias travelled on board of ships to Rotterdam and London in order to buy the best tea qualities “two leaves and one bud”. The company has lived its passion for tea since almost two centuries.
Withering, rolling, fermenting, drying and grading are gently carried out mostly by handcraftsmanship. Hotel guests and travellers from all over the world appreciate the variety of fine aromas, fragrances and flavours.
As a family business, Ronnefeldt practised social and ecological responsibility since its foundation in 1823. Whether it is education in tea culture in the international hospitality industry or in premium retail, the sponsorships of universities and art and cultural marketing – the company is committed to sustainability in many areas.
The advertising campaign of 1904 was created by the famous German art nouveau artist Hans Christiansen who studied with Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in Montmartre, Paris.
Paul Hindemith, a famous German composer, was a close friend of the Ronnefeldt family. For the 100th jubilee he wrote: “Ronnefeldt tea makes you happy when you are sad, soothes all your sorrow when you feel bad." And the composer enviously and quietly admits: “Oh may my music ever go down as well as Ronnefeldt tea”.
Today Ronnefeldt has a huge fan community all over the world. Royals, politicians, CEOs, artists, TV and sport stars love the famous Morgentau? and other flavours of the tea company which is still based in the international trade hub Frankfurt. Owner Jan-Berend Holzapfel continues to run the company with the same philosophy of high quality and excellence, passion for tea and team spirit. He regularly travels around the world as a tea ambassador, exactly like the founder Johann Tobias did at the invention of the company.
