TDry? Technologies – A Tool for Elevated Moisture Management

TurboDry? launched nearly three years ago, effectively bringing a new dimension in moisture management technology to the textile market.?The fabric portfolio possesses traditional moisture management characteristics – wicking and quick dry times – while emphasizing next-to-skin comfort by moving moisture away from the body through the fabric (aka the new dimension) which reduces moisture build-up between fabric and skin.

The fabrics on display at the launch sparked the interest because of the see it to believe it moisture movement, but it left material developers wondering, “What else besides moving moisture can this fabric do? What about recycled content? Hand feel? Weight? Aesthetic? UV protection? Printing compatability?” The list of requirements and questions grew with every conversation, and time after time, our Fabric R&D Team responded to the requests and delivered, expanding the collection to nearly 200 unique material solutions.

The full collection under the TDry? brand is housed within two main categories– TurboDry?/TurboWick? and TurboWarm? - developed for solving different problems across seasons, markets, and end uses. As the collection grows, three principles are guiding our development – improved sustainability, softer hand, and additional performance attributes.

Leading up to the Functional Fabric Fair, we’ll be highlighting different fabrics in TDry? brands. That span the different collections and vary in weight, fiber content, and application. Ultimately, we see TDry? as means for elevating capabilities far beyond moisture management. It is a tool and formula for developing proprietary durable solutions that deliver comfort and performance across all apparel markets.
