TBA Firefly? at the Cutting Edge of Passive Fire Protection

In keeping with our commitment for delivering solutions that assist Installers, Specifiers and Certifiers – we have completed testing of service penetrations through our Intubatt? system, where the services are close to the aperture / construction element interface.?Often called “close to edge”, it is common for test & assessment reports per AS1530.4 & AS4072.1 to require services be positioned a minimum of 40 mm from other services. Additionally services are to be ?40 mm or greater ?from adjacent interfaces with other construction elements.

On site, this can increase the complexity of firestop installations and ?TBA Firefly? Intubatt? solves the problem!! Where it is simply not practical or possible to have the service greater than 40 mm from the construction element aperture, we have the answer!

?When TBA Firefly? Intubatt??is friction fitted in the aperture for any of the many construction elements 100 mm thick or greater, and the services maintain the minimum annular gaps described for each service in our report?FAS190234 (with the exception of services protected with FRF collars),?the services can be close to the edge of the Primary Firestopping element (Intubatt) and the construction element.?

Our updated RIR is now available via the TBA Firefly App or you can contact your state client manager for more information.
