Taylor's Awful, No-Good, Very Bad Road Trip
Last August, I went to this three-year-old’s birthday party. Just to set this up for you quickly, the dad of the three-year-old is a child of divorce. His dad (the grandfather) and his mom (grandmother), now married to different people, were both present. The grandparents had three kids when they were together. I think they were maybe together 20 years. They had been divorced for 18 at this point.
Well, the grandfather gets a little boozed up (it happens at kids’ birthday parties) and his ex-wife starts walking past him often as he’s talking to me. She says nothing. She barely makes eye contact. And remember, of course, they’ve been divorced for almost two decades now and they’re both married to new people. I understand why it could be seen as weird, but his happens all the time, all over the world. Relationships change and people move on.
The grandfather keeps saying to me, “I gave her three kids, and she won’t even say hi?” It felt odd, to be honest. But I know a lot of guys do think like that, so I nodded along as we drank some boxed red wine together.
If you haven’t noticed of late, there is an increasing “red pill” sentiment around, mostly online. “Red pill” is ostensibly “anti-woman.” It’s a cousin of the “incel” movement in some ways. You will see red pill guys post nasty shit about Gisele, like “He gave her kids and he’s an alpha, and the bitch still walked!” It’s a weird Internet sub-ecosystem.
If we really want to get the red pill community fired up, let’s talk about Taylor Santiago.

Just last week, this mom in Missouri drove to Arkansas, attempted to kill her ex (father of one child), failed at that, but did kill her ex’s new partner. Taylor did that with another child of hers in the car, which is a nice touch. Then she drove back to Missouri and killed her estranged husband (also a father to one of her kids). Then, I suppose she got some clarity and drove to a police station, turning herself in. She is still there now. That’s two murder charges and one child endangerment, if we’re scoring at home. She will likely be gone for a while. Shame for those two kids.
Red pill guys eat this shit up with a spoon because they can get on the cross about how nothing is ever good enough for a woman — “give” her kids and she’ll still drive across state lines trying to kill you.
While some women are crazy, I’d argue way more men are crazy, or at least crazy to the point of violence. Taylor Santiago is a societal edge case more than anything, and according to the ex-lover whose new partner died (the Arkansas one), she was recently getting into drugs. That might be him trying to scapegoat her, but it’s very possible. Driving around different states trying to kill people rolls up nicely with potential drug use.
I would not say this one says much about modern women or relationships, or really much of anything other than potential drugs + mental health + general societal pressures led a woman to snap.
And yes, sometimes in relationships or friendships, you give a person everything and they still drive across state lines to insult you or point a gun at your chest. That’s sadly humanity. But as I am trying to believe more and more, there are good ones out there.
