TATWEER MISR INNOVATION COMPETITION CROWNS NOTCHNCO AS THE #1 WINNER OF THE FIFTH ROUND.

As one of the leading real estate developers in Egypt, Tatweer Misr has long been an advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship, a backer of the country’s brightest young minds. It’s this sentiment that has powered the Tatweer Misr Innovation Competition, which this week announced the winners of its?Fifth?and latest round.

Egypt is a very attractive market for both investors and entrepreneurs. In 2021, Egyptian startups sealed 142 deals worth $95 million, meaning that the country ranked first by number of deals in the MENA region, surpassing the United Arab Emirates for the first time. With nearly two-thirds of these deals closed by foreign investors, the country is only becoming more exciting as a place to do business.?Tatweer Misr in collaboration with The Greek Campus and Innovety have kicked off the 5th round of Innovation Competition.

The competition saw some of the ecosystem's most promising and successful young entrepreneurs to a pitch night that was also attended by some of the ecosystem’s heaviest hitters and fittingly located at The Greek Campus in Downtown Cairo.?For this year’s theme, we’re looking for SUSTAINABLE solutions tackling issues with built environment, SMART solutions that have a positive impact on resident’s livability and solutions affecting wellness and recreation, leading to a community that can exist being truly HAPPY.

The winners were selected by a jury comprising a group of experts in the field of economics and entrepreneurship in Egypt. The committee contributes to selecting the winners through their participation in their previous experiences in the field of encouraging and supporting entrepreneurs. The committee includes Rafah Saleh, co-founder of Cubit Venture, Amr El-Abd. Managing Director of Endeavor Egypt and Consultant at the World Bank, Ahmed Mansour, President of BD and Venture Building Plug & Play.
