I love trying new foods and beverages!!! I’m looking forward to trying many of the National Restaurant Association Show’s 2023 Food and Beverage (FABI) Award winners that will be sampled during the show from May 20 to 23.?
The 2023 FABI Awards program recognizes 42 food and beverage products that provide innovations in creativity, ingenuity, and the ability to expand menu options industry-wide. New in 2023, the panel of FABI Awards judges selected 8 products as top “FABI Favorites” out of this year’s awardees. The show makes it easy to check all of the FABI award winners by hosting FABI Awardees Tasting sessions Saturday to Monday, with different awardees featured each day.
Here are some of the FABI Award-winning plant-based steak, exciting sips, and new side dishes as well as a plant-based sunny-side-up egg that I plan to try at the Restaurant Show.
Plant-based steaks
ALCHEMEAT: Mongolian Plant-Based Steak
A plant-based steak with real beef texture and flavor. The company collaborated with Chicago chefs to create premium, center-of-plate steak dishes such as Ropa Vieja, Korean BBQ, and Caribbean Jerk Steak.
BEYOND MEAT: Beyond Steak
Plant-based steak tips that are tender, juicy, and seared to perfection. A good source of protein with no GMOs, cholesterol, or added soy ingredients.
NASOYA: Plantspired Korean BBQ Steak
With 14 grams of plant-based protein per serving. Pre-marinated and grilled with a charcoal-grilled Korean BBQ flavor.
