Back in the Lecture Hall!

on Tuesday, we conducted a workshop titled “Company Valuation in Practice” at Finance Club Bonn-Rhein-Sieg e.V. , located on the Sankt Augustin campus. In collaboration with my colleague J?rg Neis , our objective was to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the tasks performed in the TAS department at RSM Ebner Stolz, focusing particularly on company valuation.

The event concentrated on several key topics:

• Identifying and categorizing anomalies in income statements and balance sheets through historical analysis
• Gaining insights into financial adjustments and the crucial role of sustainable earnings
• Understanding the planning process, and effectively carrying out the various requirements and tasks within its phases
• Conducting plausibility checks through peer group analysis
• Comprehending the significance and determinants of capital costs, and more...
