The Tarzan Method

The Tarzan Method

Lately, I have been reflecting on the ways we choose to set our goals and the actions we take in our course of life in order to pursue them. I remembered a great piece of advice I had discovered a few years ago, inspired by Casey Neistat in one of his videos.

It was all about ''the Tarzan Method''!

The Tarzan Method encourages you to explore open mindedness and forces you to realize that the direct route isn't always the perfect or right route.

So, what we normally believe, proves to be an illusion most of the times, especially when it comes to real life. This also applies on how we get closer to realizing our goals and dreams. Most people think there is a straight line, an obvious path that gets you to your destination. But, life takes unexpected turns and this is where we tend to think that we are not moving to the right direction. What this method supports is that everything in between this journey is meant to bring you closer to your goal, even though you do not clearly realize it. Of course, the most valuable part of the process is the knowledge you acquire.

All of the lessons and experience we build, help us move forward and see what we truly desire clearly. Changing our perspective might help us foresee some things in a better way and also, cultivate the various insights for our benefit.

All of the above require that we face our fears. The challenges we face along the way, the decisions we must make and the struggle to maintain our focus on what matters most, will eventually lead us to our destination. Now, fear is a whole other story. Probably, one of the biggest obstacles. From many conversations I had lately, it proves to be difficult for most of us to overcome our habits, our fear of missing out or being in a place we cannot control everything or even trying something new and then abandon it. This is how you prevent yourself from innovating and embracing change.

So, let's all keep in mind the Tarzan Method and be bold about our dreams! There is no straight line, you have to go through all of the unknowns, and that's the beauty of it!

Keep your mind open! ??
