Targeting FAT loss...

Targeting FAT loss...

Do you hate your stomach? Or maybe the fat on your arms? OR legs??

Have you tried doing 100's of sit ups, push ups, tricep exercises and squats to try and reduce the fat there?? Can I take a wild guess and say it didn't work??

If it did, then ignore me, I apologise! However - lets look at the facts of the matter here.?

People have been trying to spot reduce for years, this isn't something new. The bodybuilding industry have been finding ways to target particular body parts - and to some relative success.

There has even been a recent study that supports spot reduction can be effective when it comes to upperbody and lowebody limb training, but this study had many limitations?

There are have been 4 major studies that concluded that spot reduction just isn't possible?

So what can you do about those love handles that you hate so much??? Well firstly, just accept them. That is a part of you, and who you are. This doesn't mean you cannot strive to improve your physique and feel more confident about yourself - but having love handles, or a beer belly doesn't make you any LESS of a good person, doesn't make you less beautiful.

It just means your body is carrying some excess fat, which is perfectly normal.?

I think it is critical that we shift our mindset from wanting to "spot reduce" and get rid of our fat arms or fat legs, and instead focusing on making healthier choices when it comes to our lifestyle. Maybe that means eating less sugary foods, less alcohol and instead focus eating more vegetables, more protein, and getting more sleep. Maybe it means increasing our activity levels, hitting the gym 4x a week and drinking 2L of water every day.?

If you are continually thinking about trying to target a particular body part - as soon as that is fixed, you are probably gonna look in the mirror and see another area of your body that you want to change...it can become a dangerous and endless loop of constant self-criticism that you don't need to put yourself through?

Here is my advice for those of you looking to improve your physique, lose body fat in your arms, legs, face, stomach and so forth:

1. Start weight training 4x a week - lifting heavy, and hitting your major muscle groups 2x per week

2. Drink 2L of water?

3. Get 8 Hours of Sleep 5 days a week minimum?

4. Cut out all the excess sugar in your diet and increase your protein intake?

What you'll begin to notice is your overall body fat will decrease - the areas of which the fat will go is generally down to genetics - for some people it might be their bum, it might be their face, or legs. We cannot specifically decide that unfortunately, but in my opinion you shouldn't really be trying to do that - instead you should focus on implementing these healthy habits that I have outlined...your body will change as a result of doing these things consistently. And I don't mean just a 4 week program.?

It's pretty simple - but its hard to do it all on your own, although you can try, I know for a fact that accountability and a qualified second opinion is what truly makes the difference between those who achieve great things and those who don't - we all need someone to help us get there.?

So if you are tired of not feeling completely confident in your body, if you want to improve your lifestyle and also improve your physique - then don't hesitate to book your FREE consultation call with me - lets really get down to the bottom of how you can improve yourself...not just how you look but also how you feel
