Tarantool - a database able to perform one million transactions per second on one CPU core!

Tarantool 1.6.8 has been released!

We've been working hard on performance like we always do. Just to give you an idea of how we love performance and how we are proud of our outstanding achievments in that area, we can set up a 1-hour meeting only to discuss how to eliminate one redundant memcpy inside our core engine!

As a result, we got significant improvement on the majority of hash and tree indexing operations - 15-30% on average.

Each test comprises 25% updates, 25% deletes, 25% inserts, 25% replaces. Roughly, we have 1 mln transactions per second on the hash index and 340K transactions per second on the tree index. These are real transactions and they are for real per SECOND!
