T.A.O to conquer London

the name should say it all... However, Steen Kyed, (played with Fourplay last year at the most difficult time while Chuck Loeb was transitioning) and Vilhelm Thomsen, two exceptional guitarists with Per Vibskov Nielsen on bass and Anders Pedersen on drums have been enjoying their name as Total Acoustic Orchestra, The Any Occasion band or just for the Total Amount Of music or vibe as they call themselves for three decades.

It all started in 1988 when the guys gathered together to surprise Steen's mother at her birthday party with some acoustic tones of nice music at the outskirts of Copenhagen on a warm September day. I happened to be at the party, and we all liked the vibe and the idea to go and form a band that will enhance the musical values of good handcrafted melodies. Both Steen and Vilhelm virtuous in their playing of acoustic guitars with an intelligent form of using changes that are Nordic and yet they sound like a no-one else but have been called the instrumental Beatles by a critic in Denmark. We could not find a name at the time so we kind of called it: The Any Occasion, as it sounded appropriate for this great birthday of a September night... The philosophical beliefs and spirit are very TAO'istic and the music is the mirror of it.

T.A.O is going on their tour to the UK this coming March and will be playing at #PizzaExpressLive in Holborn on March 5th and in Maidstone on March 10th. Few VIP tickets are left and that package includes T-Shirt; 3 of their CD's and a Vinyl they will be releasing at the PizzaExpressLive, a glass of bobbles vill served to and meet and greet with signing the merchandise is scheduled after the show. We have been grateful that #klm #norwegian #flyingattendants have already booked some tickets so the guys are excited...lol
