TANGRA EVB DX - Compact Air Handling Units with Heat Pump

TANGRA EVB DX is a range of compact air handling units with air flow from 800 m3/h up to 6 000 m3/h that represent a comprehensive solution with exceptionally high energy efficiency through recuperation/regeneration and integrated direct expansion (DX) heat pump module for gentle heating and cooling.

All compact air handling units TANGRA EVB DX complies with the ErP Directive. The total energy recovery efficiency exceeds 90%. TANGRA EVB DX provides ventilation with a comfortable temperature, allowing reduction of additional cooling or heating, and thereby decreasing the costs for other installations and subsequent energy consumption.

The range of thermodynamic air handling units are available for indoor installation in technical rooms or in false ceiling as well as for outdoor installations. The units are plug & play, 100% factory tested and charged with refrigerant (R410). The installation technicians only need to mount the equipment and connect the ventilation duct system and electrical supply.

TANGRA EVB DX ROT are with sorption rotary wheel heat exchangers, which is certified by Eurovent and provide excellent energy recovery of sensible and latent energy. Integrated heat pump module (DX) maintains comfort temperature of the fresh supplied air in order to optimize the HVAC systems and additional heating or cooling systems are not needed.

The sorption regenerative heat exchanger absorbs moisture from the air stream when humidity is high and releases it when humidity is low. In summer mode, the rotary heat exchanger recovers both sensible and latent energy. This minimizes cooling costs, reduces the humidity of the supplied air, and increases the energy efficiency of the system. In winter mode, it recovers moisture from the exhaust air, improving indoor comfort and reducing the need for the ‘defrost’ mode

TANGRA EVB DX AL+ H are with incorporated aluminium plate heat exchanger with increased efficiency and heat pump module (DX). They are specially developed for installation in a suspended ceiling indoor or for horizontal installation on roofs

TANGRA EVB DX AL+ V are with plate heat exchanger with increased efficiency and incorporated heat pump module (DX). This way, they provide precise comfortable temperature of the fresh air, allowing HVAC systems to be optimized, and reduce both installation and operational costs

Aluminium or polypropylene plate heat exchanger recovers energy from exhaust air. Mixing of the two air flows is not possible and thus there is no transmittance of humidity, odour or contamination to the fresh air. TANGRA produces 3 types of plate heat exchangers with different efficiency for variety of climates. Function “defrost” is incorporated in the units.

TANGRA EVB DX AL+ Pool is extremely suitable for ventilation of swimming pools, SPA centres and sanatoriums. For aggressive water environment (mineral geothermal water) the compact thermodynamic air handling units are produced with polypropylene plate heat exchangers TAN[1]GRA PP and heating/cooling coils are available with additional coating. For specific requirements in design, construction, or maintenance of pools VDI 2089 standard must be followed, or you can contact the TANGRA team.

Control

All compact thermodynamic air handling units are controlled by PLC controller and specially designed by TANGRA software that allows users to control manually or automatically components and parameters of the system. TANGRA Smart DX can be controlled by a display of the unit as well as remotely by Modbus, BACnet и Internet (VPN).
