Tampa Artist and Cat Rescue Charity Team Up For Happy Cat Month
Chalky’s Cat Crusade is a Tampa nonprofit raising funds to expand their cat rescue work. When local illustration artist Carl Vervisch launched his new art series “See Cat City,” he decided to make Chalky’s mission a focal point of his work as well.
See Cat City is a series of whimsical illustrations set in a fictional town run by cats, showcasing cat-based businesses for services like “making biscuits” and chasing lasers. With each new piece of artwork, Vervisch plans to promote Chalky’s Cat Crusade alongside his art, with an ultimate goal of funding a new cat shelter to expand their rescue capabilities.
As an added Happy Cat Month incentive, Vervisch is offering a limited edition art print to anyone who donates to the Chalky’s fundraiser during September 2020. Happy Cat Month is a national effort to ensure cats around the country are happy, healthy, and valued.
