Taming LLMs – Because They All Have Attitude

I’m preparing for some international customer activity this week, and when working with humans + AI, some basics are always needed. Context matters. Picking the right AI for the right job isn’t just about capability - it’s about personality.
Because let’s be honest, LLMs have attitudes.
Each one has its own quirks, strengths, and occasional “Did it really just say that?” moments. If you treat them all the same, you’re missing out on how AI + humans create real value.
Here’s how I tame them.
?? Claude (Anthropic) – The Overly Polite AI Therapist
Claude would write a thank-you note if it thought you’d had a stressful day. It’s thoughtful, ethical, and always looking out for humanity—sometimes to the point where I want to tell it to chill out.
Want long, well-reasoned, considerate responses? Claude’s got you. Need hot takes and speed? Look elsewhere.
Bonus: Its visualizations are gorgeous—like a designer who actually enjoys making PowerPoint slides.
?? Grok (xAI) – The Elon Musk Fanboy
If you don’t start your prompt with “As Elon Musk…”, are you even using Grok properly?
This model is fast, witty, and slightly chaotic. Ask it about supply chain logistics, and suddenly you’re knee-deep in Mars colony blueprints, cybertruck metaphors, and AI-powered flamethrower strategies.
Great for brainstorming the future. Terrible for calming down and focusing on today.
?? DeepSeek (China) – The Ruthless Efficiency Expert
DeepSeek does not have time for your nonsense. It’s like an over-caffeinated project manager:
It excels at hardcore engineering, finance, and research—and will absolutely let you know if your question is dumb.
?? Gemini (Google) – The Overenthusiastic Intern
Ask Gemini for one idea? Here’s 25. Need a summary? Enjoy this thesis.
It’s fast, versatile, and desperate to be your favorite, which makes it great for big-picture thinking, research, and content creation.
But let’s be honest—sometimes, it tries too hard. Google’s latest updates have made it sassier, which I absolutely support. Its been the best tool i've used this week!
?? ChatGPT (OpenAI) – The Know-It-All Friend Who Never Stops Talking
This is the Swiss Army Knife of AI—equally happy writing an essay, solving code, or starting an existential debate on consciousness if you let it ramble.
It’s my go-to for versatility, but you better keep it on track.
?? Mistral (France) – The AI That Judges You Silently
Mistral is fast, privacy-focused, and efficient, but it has the energy of a Parisian intellectual in a turtleneck.
It excels at multilingual tasks and data analysis, but sometimes responds like it’s saying: ?? “Your question lacks sophistication.”
If you need an AI that won’t leak your data but might make you feel slightly inferior, this is the one.
?? Luminous (Germany) – The AI That Checks Your Grammar
Luminous is precise, structured, and built like a well-oiled machine—think BMW, but for text.
If DeepSeek is direct, Luminous is correct—down to the last punctuation mark.
?? YandexGPT (Russia) – The Mysterious One
YandexGPT is powerful, sharp, and a little bit cryptic—like a KGB agent answering your questions in riddles.
?? Cohere (Canada) – The AI That’s Just… Nice
Cohere is polite, neutral, and good at most things, making it great for business applications and customer interactions.
But let’s be honest—nobody is out here getting excited about Cohere.
Humans + AI = Maximum Value
This is why context always matters.
At the end of the day, AI amplifies human intelligence—but only if you use the right one for the job.
So… which LLM is your favorite, and how do you tame it? ????
