Meet Sunny Beau Hyatt, Operations Apprentice at TECOSIM, who joined the company 2 years and 9 months ago and is now actively shaping sustainability from the heart of Basildon.

In Sunny’s role, no day is identical, and that's precisely what keeps her excited. Her responsibilities span from collaborating with Furthermore Marketing on engaging social media content, meticulously organising the corporate Christmas party, to team-building tree planting days.

?"As an apprentice, it is my responsibility to use the knowledge gained from my coursework and apply it to the company's policies and procedures.”

Sunny’s introduction to TECOSIM followed juggling part-time jobs in welding, wedding coordination, and hospitality. A recommendation through a connection from a design and technology project during her secondary school years, led her to an interview, and within a week, she became an integral part of the team.

Sunny, three years into her 4-year degree, can see how her performance and feedback improve over time as she gains new skills for her career. She takes pride in her role as the project manager for the sustainability team, whose efforts earned the EEEGR Going Green Award, a testament to their shared drive and passion for TECOSIM’s commitment to sustainability.

“I feel more confident with?the opportunities TECOSIM presents to me and everything I'm learning within my degree.”

What Sunny finds most fulfilling in her role is the joy of working in a close-knit and supportive team. “The opportunities bring an extra layer of excitement to my job.” She says.

Her manager encourages her to submit ideas, especially ones that come from her university modules, for the company to consider implementing.
