Talking Tech: Libraries and Navigating Change

Talking Tech: Libraries and Navigating Change

I recently had the opportunity to appear as a guest on the Maryland State Library Agency (MSLA) Podcast with interviewer and MSLA Communications Manager Tim Pratt.

Tim and I discussed the librarianship, the impact of technology on our profession, and how libraries will navigate the age of AI. I share why despite the challenges ahead, I am nothing but optimistic on the future of libraries. I hope you'll give it a listen!

Until Next Time!

  • EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) has released an Artificial Intelligence and Open Science Training Programme Outline?for librarians and open science trainers. This resource can be used to develop training about the ethical and responsible use of AI, and is published under a creative commons license (CC BY 4.0).

This report focuses on digital replicas, defined as "a video, image, or audio recording that has been digitally created or manipulated to realistically but falsely depict an individual."
