Well, we’ve come to the end of the year.

It’s been a big one. 2023 has been, for what we can safely assume, another turbulent year for everyone and anyone even remotely involved in talent acquisition, employer branding, and recruitment.

At VideoMyJob we’ve seen the birth of a new program, #CoLab, where we’ve had some amazing customers come on and share their experiences with the platform and tell us about the innovative ways they amplify their talent and employer brand.

#TalkingTalentLive has had its second season with a roster of amazing guests as you can imagine.

VideoMyJob has exploded with innovations that are rolling out constantly. Stay tuned early next year for our next big release.

But we’ll dispense with the intro now and just get straight into it.

That’s A Wrap On TTL Season 2

It’s been a great year for #TalkingTalent season two and we couldn't be happier with how it came together.

Firstly, a HUGE shout out and thank you to both of our guest hosts for the year, Quila Cervelli and Brie Mason . You two brought so much to the show this year.

And keep an eye on next year as Brie comes back to join Jay Rusden and the team for the first half of 2024.

And then there are our fantastic guests. Thank you again to [takes a deep breath] Frances Agius , Brooke Clark , Steven Brand , Alex McVeigh , Karly George , Alex Her , and Rachel Kennedy ! You all brought so much to our team and our community. So thank you again and happy holidays.

Our newest live show, Co-Lab, has gone from strength to strength.

HAAAAVE You met Gav?

Gavin is one of our account executives and is an absolute LinkedIn social media savant.?

When he’s not talking with existing and prospective clients alike, he’s sharing gold nuggets he comes across on LinkedIn. Much like this one below.

Another great post I came across recently which deserves as much attention as it can get, from Tony de Graaf over at SmartRecruiters. I really enjoyed his musings on what's wrong with TA. ??

He even summed it up into a 3-point TL;DR for us:

?? A more structured and methodological approach to building and improving TA functions is needed.

?? Thinking of Talent Acquisition as a Sales & Marketing function instead of a cost centre will massively change how it is viewed and resourced internally.

?? TA undersells themselves by saying they 'fill jobs' and need to start talking about the impact they have on business if they can successfully fill those jobs.
