At times getting Nostalgic is yet another way of talking to mind. When a person feels that he is missing some element which he was having in the past, all he need to do is get into the mood of Nostalgia, here the person can rediscover not one element that he had missed but many.
Assume a person was very good in networking while connecting with people some time back, but at present he feels he is not able to do that element of networking as per his expectations, In this situation the individual gets into a state of confusion and starts doubting his skill level, this may not be the right way of approaching the problem.
To be constructive in the developmental area mentioned above one way is the person can get into a nostalgic moment; a mild serene beautiful music can help the person to set everything right. In this environment the person is able to talk to his mind, not only that the person can even relist and listen to those past conversations he had with various people. This moment of nostalgic experience gives everyone an opportunity to just have a feel of the past not only that this can also make a person to realize his progress.
When a person attempts to talk to the mind during a nostalgic moment, the individual need to go back and visit those areas of past life which had been progressive. Unfortunately many people start giving more attention to those unpleasant moments which cannot be repeated in the present situation and then get depressed and takes time to get back to normal.
Getting Nostalgic and talking to mind at times makes a person happy and wonderful.
