Hey there! I'm feeling really on my game this week, perhaps because I've found a cool new game to share.

The UIC Center for Healthy Work developed its online "In a Year's Work" game to showcase the many factors that can contribute to employee health and experiences on the job. Players can pick a character, from Warehouse Worker to CEO, and make the right decisions to overcome daily stressors and beat a challenge. It's an out-of-the-box way to explore employee needs and pain points, and even get some persona-building inspiration (more on that below).

In other news, it’s ADHD Awareness Month, a reminder to up our game?in supporting neurodivergent colleagues. I'm sharing a controversial approach that can boost neuroinclusion at the very start of the employee lifecycle, plus a culture-enhancing mental health guide. Let's dive in!

As I mentioned up top, this free game from UIC is worth checking out. Walking a virtual mile in employees' shoes reminds us of the complex factors that shape individual work experiences. And trust me, once you try it out you'll want to play over and over again as every character.
