Talk of the recent weeks, Extended Reality and Standing Out in an Increasingly Saturated Market

Yo! Check this out!

Welcome back to "The Left Nod" Of The Week! I should start calling it "The Left Nod Of Every Two or Three Months" as I had been so caught up with things that I did not have time to write up any new episodes.

But, here I am, sharing with you some of the recent stuff you need to look out for.

In the past weeks, if you haven't lived under a rock, you must have heard about Apple's new release, the Apple Vision Pro, an AR headset that will cost $3499.

Well, while some of you are already putting money aside to buy it when it comes out, and others wondering if you need to buy the charger separately, in my opinion, is that until your friends don't test it, save your money, or opt for an already existing powerful AR device, like the HTC VIVE XR Elite.

I'm not affiliated, nor gaining any commissions, but in my opinion, the price of the headset is limiting the use of XR technology for the masses.

Nevertheless, I had the opportunity to record a podcast last week with and AR expert and we talked about many aspects of the AR/XR industry and the use of the technology by the masses. But, to tell you the truth, I am still not convinced if a 3.5k USD headset is the way to move forward.

As the title suggests, this newsletter is not just about Extended Reality, it's also about 'Standing Out in an Increasingly Saturated Market'. This time it's about Live Casinos, where the competition is very fierce, but it is a powerful driver of innovation.

I had the opportunity to be the moderator at the European Gaming Q2 Meetup and was able to pick the brains of some of the most forward-thinking experts of the Live Casino landscape who have shared their valuable insights by replying to my questions.

Here is the set of questions I've addressed to the speakers of the panel:

  • With so many developers getting involved in the live casino vertical, what can a company do to help its product stand out in an increasingly saturated market?
  • What trends have we seen emerging in the live casino space in recent years? And what can we expect in the future?
  • The live casino space feels like a natural fit for technology like VR and AR. Let's discuss how the role of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies could enhance the players' immersion. Are there any downsides or additional considerations when discussing?the inclusion of VR and AR?
  • We have seen more bespoke and branded live casino content being produced, especially in the US, why do you think this is becoming more popular? And do you expect this trend to continue??
  • What steps are being taken to enhance the overall user experience in Live Dealer games, such as improving streaming quality, interaction features, or customization options?
  • With more immersive slot and table games being developed, will the appetite for live casino products diminish?

I was joined by:

? Anna Vikmane , Director of BETER Live

? Daniel Gunba , Founder / CEO of TRIION Gaming

? Simon Croft , Founder and developer of Live Solutions Group
