According to some respectable statistics about 45% of sales people feel like they’re going to finish this year on target or better. Well done folks. Below are 6 things to do right now to kick 2022 in the teeth, for those other 55%.


1: Stop making “Discovery calls"


For people you are calling - that’s annoying.

Most people are stressed out and too tired of this ask-me-fishing-questions-call-game and they seriously question the professionalism of the person doing such calls. Those calls add negative value to their day.


2: Research.?


Top sales people research a company or person they want to approach?on average 6 hours.

Know a lot about their business before you make the call.?


3: Fast & quick get to the details of what problem you can solve and why they should solve it now.


This is power, authority and time frame.?

Remember - people are emotional human beings and they chase what’s running away from them.


4: Be remarkable


People want to hear about… themselves and how great they are… also, they want to hear about novel solutions, and to gain helpful [key word] insights [another key word] from you.?

Otherwise you are just another one of those dudes they forgot even before they hang up on you.


5: Don’t be Needy


Neediness kills deals. It also stinks and people can sense it.


6: Have a process…


… and control it.
