Tales of a Hybrid Marketer

I'm a Hybrid!

What does that remind you of? A monstrous one-eyed, half-human, half-alien movie? Oh no!

Sorry if I scared the hell out of you, lol.

I didn't mean to.

When I say I'm a hybrid, I mean I'm an experienced marketer in both the Web2 and Web3 spaces.

In other words, I've worked with crypto firms and non- crypto-related firms.

But that's not the story.

In my experience so far, I've worked with more startups than established companies. And I'll tell you why I prefer marketing for startups.?

Why I Prefer to Market for StartUps

  • Remote Work Culture:?Top on the list is the remote nature of most startups. Commuting stresses me out so much. I'm more productive when I work remotely. Recent statistics have shown that more people prefer to work remotely. Who likes to be stuck in traffic anyway?
  • The thrill of the unknown:?Startup marketing has no playbook; you're literally starting from ground zero, shaping your brand and creating a narrative.?
  • Versatility:?Marketing for a startup is like juggling a dozen hats. Unlike established companies with well-defined roles and departments, startups demand that you be a versatile marketer. In a single day, I might go from developing a marketing campaign to attending a product development meeting to reaching out to potential partners and influencers for my team. This constant switching has expanded and engaged my mind in no small way!
  • Flexibility:?there are no established rules, and each day brings a new adventure. As a marketer, this allows me to experiment, take risks, and innovate without the constraints of legacy systems and processes.
  • A sense of ownership:?I'm a part of the core team for the project I currently work with. This means that my contributions are directly reflected in the success (or failure) of the company, which gives me a strong sense of responsibility for the project. This level of responsibility can be intimidating, but it's also incredibly rewarding. The feeling of making a significant difference in a company's trajectory is incomparable.

Conclusion

The choice between startups and established companies is a matter of personal preference. However, the thrill of shaping the future and leaving a mark on a growing business is an opportunity I wouldn't trade for the world. If you're a marketer passionate about uncharted territories, then the startup world is where you'll find your true calling.

I love this,it is deep in me.
