Call it "The Great Resignation" or market dynamics but the fact is a lot of companies are facing an exodus of talent from their organisation.
Whilst the "Stay Interview" and focusing on employee wellbeing can certainly decrease turnover the fact is that a lot of people were scared to change jobs during and immediately post Covid and those natural two or three year stints are coming to an end.
Therefore what can your organisation do to attract the best talent in the market, our advice at eMagine Solutions is to be innovative and focus on improvement.
- Discovery - First, you will need to analyze the recruiting approaches used by your industry competitors.
- Innovate - Next, you must commit to making your approach more unique by using a variety of recruiting tools that are markedly different and better than the ones used by your competitors.?
- Thirdly expand your benchmarking to include the best companies across all industries known for their recruiting effectiveness.?
- And once that you have identified these unique best practices from the top companies. Put together a list of the most tenacious ones that best fit your current situation (be realistic here).?
- Once you have this list begin your experimentation gradually. Add a few “new to you” effective recruiting tools to your recruiting strategy. Simultaneously, remove traditional tools the data indicate are no longer effective (e.g. online adverts).
- Then gather data on the effectiveness of each implemented new tool. Use the data to cover the “greater performance level of new hires” (a.k.a. raising the bar) to evaluate the effectiveness of this tool.
- The greatest form of flattery is imitation and as the recruiting world adapts and your competitors copy your current talent acquisition strategy. Continue to innovate and withdraw and add to your recruiting tools to maintain a unique but, at the same time ultimately more effective and successful talent planning and acquisition strategy.

2 年Tony K. always refreshing to read such insights from a recruiter's perspective. I think the margins are really fine when it comes to retaining top talent at an organization.
