News from IN Amsterdam
To improve our clients’ experience with IN Amsterdam, we are asking companies and relocators to fill in the online appointment form when scheduling appointments for non-EU citizens. Completing the form for EU citizens is already in practice and has proven to be very efficient for our clients. Please note that is not mandatory to fill in the form for non-EU appointments, but by doing so, you can make appointment scheduling a seamless and more efficient process while saving valuable time.
Please note that if you choose to use the online form for non-EU citizens, you will still need to communicate the V-number via the telephone.

Temporary registration at company office
A reminder that employees using the company address for registration must update it within three months. Recent checks show a rise in the number of people not updating their new address on time. Newcomers are informed during registration and receive guidance on updating their address. Proper registration in the BRP (Personal Records Database) is required by law to reflect actual residence; failure to do so can result in fines. Employers consenting to temporary registrations should ensure employees update their address once they secure permanent housing.
International Dual Career Network (IDCN)
The International Dual Career Network (IDCN), a global organisation supporting the professional integration of dual-career partners and spouses, has launched an Amsterdam Area and Utrecht chapter.
Organisations with international employees and a focus on dual-career support are encouraged to join.?Partner members already include IN Amsterdam , Utrecht International Center , Universiteit van Amsterdam , Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and a number of businesses such as PwC, Alstom and L'Oréal.
As a partner member, your organisation facilitates one or two career events or training days for the pool of members annually. The more partners that join, the bigger the pool becomes, and the more career opportunities there are. Activities are free for members.
Companies pay an annual membership fee of €1,400. To sign up, contact Erik van Zetten [email protected] (UvA) or Conchita van der Sande [email protected] (IN Amsterdam).
