As a contractor, I've found instances of companies using large language models and highly computationally intensive resources to do tasks such as spellchecking, and basic math operations (which LLMs frequently perform badly at). Furthermore, check if using AI is ethical in the first place, tasks that affect other human beings should always have a human in the loop. E.g. Medical diagnoses, hiring decisions, providing loans, etc.
