A Cloud Solutions Architect Who Loves Technology and Innovation

Graciela inherited her love for technology and innovation from her father, who inspired her to follow her path in the tech world. She looks up to him as a model of hard work and perseverance, his actions taught her that you should always give your best and be dedicated and persistent, regardless of the obstacles you encounter. At the young age of 15 she made the conscious decision to specialize in software development at a technical high school.

Through her rigorous studies, she acquired a solid foundation in programming, networking, and database management. Graciela's hard work and skills were also acknowledged by her involvement in various academic contests, which enabled her to obtain a merit to excellence scholarship at ULACIT university.

After graduating from high school, Graciela enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science and started her first job as a network engineer. During her studies at ULACIT, Graciela also participated in various extracurricular activities that enriched her personal and professional growth. One of them was joining the “Civic House”, a volunteering club that promotes social responsibility. As a member of this club, Graciela had the opportunity to work with children in vulnerable situations, providing them with educational and recreational support. This experience opened her eyes to how sometimes a little bit of help can make a big difference in someone else's life. Graciela learned to appreciate the value of empathy, diversity, and solidarity, and to apply them in her daily interactions with others. She also developed leadership and communication skills that helped her in her career as a technology professional. She continued her career in the technology field working for companies like Hewlett-Packard, Huawei Technologies, and Dole Food Company, while completing a degree in IT resources management at ULACIT.

In 2021, Graciela decided to take a new step in her career and joined Kyndryl as a cloud/network architect, where she worked with a world-class client-facing team that aimed to improve delivery by providing account governance, architectural assessments, technology health checks, and critical situation management. She enjoyed the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help clients to achieve their business goals and vision.

Graciela thinks that Microsoft is a pioneer in innovation and digital transformation, and that it provides a great opportunity for learning and development. She is very excited of join Microsoft Costa Rica as a cloud solution architect. She enjoys collaborating with an incredible team that empowers clients to accomplish more. She wants to use her skills and experience in cloud and network architecture, as well as her enthusiasm for technology, to create value and impact for the customers and the company. She loves working for a company that celebrates diversity and inclusion, because she believes this is essential for creating more chances for everyone. She sees the impact of this on her little sister, who is pursuing a tech career and looks at the world with optimism and possibilities.
