In the era of labor shortages, escalating mental health challenges, and high turnover rates, Talent Activation emerges as a potential solution. Acknowledging the reality of talent scarcity markets, where our employees often field a multitude of job offers, it is imperative that our organization remains the preferred workplace. Key priorities, such as retention, engagement, and workforce development, take center stage, and what better way to achieve this than by genuinely listening to our people?

Talent Activation a reminiscent of the concept of employee activation, that is gaining significant attention. To underscore its relevance, esteemed HR expert Josh Bersin recently hosted a podcast titled "Employee Activation: An Essential Big Idea for 2024", listen here

Talent Activation entails a reconfiguration of organizational processes to empower our people to adapt, innovate, and customize their work to align with their unique needs, suggestions, and demands. It represents a profound departure from conventional employee engagement, ushering in a more agile and responsive approach realized by organizational listening, founded with a ground belief of people actually wanting to do good. ?

Organizational listening emerges as a superpower that can catalyze positive change within a company. Beyond the confines of traditional engagement surveys, organizational listening encompasses data-driven practices like feedback loops, interactive workshops, and coaching sessions. This depth of involvement is pivotal in comprehending accountabilities and nurturing an inclusive and empowering workplace.


My Approach to Talent Activation:?

I am currently at the helm of a data-driven process that blends a proactive "push" approach with a responsive "pull" strategy. Working With a mix of OKRs - employees setting their own goals, 360 feedback, Career paths, an employee engagement process, comprehensive performance evaluations, and personalized development coaching. This is a twofold commitment to the organization: to authentically listen to the needs and aspirations of our team while simultaneously providing clarity and leveling of expectations to create an optimal environment for the flourishing, engagement, and performance of our organization.
