Are you innovative, tenacious, and confident? Manpower has an immediate opening for a Talent Acquisition Manager for our client located in Burnaby, BC.

Compensation: Competitive + 4 weeks' vacation + benefits

Location: Burnaby, BC


Responsibilities:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for the following key areas:

1. Enhancing talent acquisition strategies and hiring plans through:

- Identifying opportunities to improve the candidate experience, increase hiring efficiency, and reduce costs.

- Integrating the use of new hiring platforms to increase the applicant pool and to reach intended audiences.

- Collaborating with the Operations team to develop projections of the company's future hiring needs

- Providing the Director of Human Resources on selection activities and the Recruiting team's performance.

2. Provide recruitment and on-boarding support through activities such as:

- Reviewing job requisitions to confirm accuracy.

- Screening resumes, shortlisting candidates and interviewing applicants.

- Managing the company's applicant tracking system.

- Informing candidates of accurate information regarding job duties, terms and conditions of employment, benefits, salary and the corporate environment.

- Advising hiring managers on required qualifications and providing compensation suggestion for new positions.

3. Deliver first-class leadership to a team of Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Assistants by:

- Setting guidelines and expectations for the company's recruiting activities.

- Organizing and distributing responsibilities to ensure that the workloads for all Recruiters are manageable.

- Coaching and providing guidance to the Recruiting team to develop their techniques.

- Providing Recruiters with resources and materials to support their progress.

- Additional ad hoc duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

- Degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Commerce, Psychology or Business Administration

- At least 8 years of related experience in talent acquisition and full cycle recruiting.

- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.

- Equivalent sales experience and acumen would be an asset.

- Knowledge of recruitment, employee development & management, compensation, benefits, policy development and implementation, employment and human rights legislation

- Expert knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting and social media platforms


Skills and Abilities:

- Advanced oral and written communication skills, including presentation and group facilitation.

- High standards of behaviour, a professional attitude and commitment to quality service.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff.

- Aptitude for providing leadership, direction, coaching, and support.

- Proven ability to develop and align strategy in support of business initiatives and growth

- Excellent organizational, project management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills

- The ability to make key decisions and maintain composure under pressure.

- Strong conflict resolution capability.
