A Tale of Two Styles
While employed at Overcash-Demmitt Architects, we had a project with a client who wasn't sure if they preferred a traditional look, or a more modern aesthetic. I skinned this hotel two different ways to show them alternatives. (Pictured above and below.) Architectural styles is certainly more than surface treatment. Design has as much to do with massing and composition, as much as detail and materials. But it is an interesting exercise to see the different style directions a project can take.
