A Tale of an Arabian Princess

There comes a time in everyone’s life where a metamorphosis takes places; when life tests you so hard that you are left with but one of two choices: to let it break you down or break you open.

Our cover star this month went through such a metamorphosis, and the choice she took rendered her triumphant over life’s challenges. Shanina Shaik’s story is an inspirational tale of love and determination – demonstrating to us the power of loving oneself and always believing in a brighter tomorrow.  

We know Shanina as the dazzling Australian Victoria’s Secret model who first graced their catwalk in a set of her very own pair of wings in 2011. What we discovered on this journey is that she is also of Saudi and Pakistani origins, was raised Muslim and talks about it from a refreshingly empowering perspective. Not only is she a true beauty on the outside but possess a wonderful and open spirit to match. She honestly shares with us her evolutionary tale as we set the scene in a nostalgic backdrop of Arabian Dreams.

We are the sum of the choices we make. And that is also what differentiates the leaders from the rest of the crowd. Consciously or unconsciously, we can weave a beautiful fabric out of the life we lead, and thereby set an example for others to be inspired by as they watch us go through our journey with courage and great bravery.
