Taking Your Life To The Next Level

Taking Your Life To The Next Level

Learning to appreciate, and be content with your life, in the "now," is a wonderful way to live. Some really special, unexpected things often happen along the path of each given day. However, our minds can become so cluttered that we fail to notice the moment to moment things for which we should be grateful, and the joy we could know at the time.

This is not to say, however, that no thought should be given for tomorrow. A life well lived must have some planning if your dreams are to come true. Each day can be filled with joy, excitement, and recognized as a segment of a journey that is taking you where you want to go.

So many people I know have no shortage of dreams, but they are fuzzy, vague, and they seem to lack one essential quality that gives them any chance of success. SELF DISCIPLINE.

Self discipline will take your life to a higher, more meaningful level. It is self control. It is self restraint. It is willingly deferring the temptations of the "now" for something that is more important to you. The good thing is that it is a choice YOU make. It is not imposed on you. It is you taking charge of your own life.

Give some thought to where you want life to take you. Enjoy each day, but know that tomorrow will come. Don't let life be something that just happens to you. Take it by the horns: rein yourself in. Living in the now must not mean squandering away tomorrow.

Yes indeed, would have loved to figure this out when I was much younger. Wisdom is priceless.
