Taking your art elsewhere
Here are some people who achieved fame posthumously:
2) Robert Johnson, iconic blues guitarist
This is an abridged list. There was a reason why each of them didn't find fame when they were alive. They died young or created work that the public didn't give them recognition for.
Not receiving due credit for your work is right of passage when you're creating something.
You launch a product and it doesn't set the market on fire.
You share an idea that but it doesn't excite anyone.
You do everything you can, but the result still falls short.
The reasons are many:
- You're sharing it with people who aren't looking for it.
- Your service or product isn't what they're looking for.
- Your product is ahead of its time
- You aren't marketing the product well
To find out if people like what you have to offer, you need to create something first. Once you create, you can figure out if you need to take your art elsewhere. Without creating, there's no point complaining.
You might need to take your art elsewhere. But you need to create and try to sell that art first before coming to that decision.
